<p>Fancourt war im <a href="Stra%C3%9Fenradsport" title="Straßenradsport">Straßenradsport</a> aktiv und Mitglied der Nationalmannschaft. 1937 siegte er die <a href="Manx_Trophy" title="Manx Trophy">Manx Trophy</a>. 1939 gewann er die nationale Meisterschaft im <a href="Eintagesrennen" title="Eintagesrennen">Straßenrennen</a> der <a href="Amateursport" class="mw-redirect" title="Amateursport">Amateure</a> des Verbandes N.C.U. vor <a href="Percy_Stallard" title="Percy Stallard">Percy Stallard</a>. 1938 war er Vizemeister hinter Jack Holmes geworden. Bei den <a href="Stra%C3%9Fenradsport-Weltmeisterschaften_1938" title="Straßenradsport-Weltmeisterschaften 1938">Straßenradsport-Weltmeisterschaften 1938</a> belegte er den 15. Platz.
